CPU/Ram: 1.7ghz/1gb

Here is my problem i just upgrade my video card on my gateway computer. my old video card was a geforce 2 64mb mx/mx 400, my new video card is a 128mb radeon 9600 pro. when i try and set my displays settings to 1280x768 it goes through buy my settings are really set lower. Can anyone tell me what is going on thanks.

also everytime i start a game that uses 1280x768 display settings it does not fit on my monitor as well please help!

Sounds like you don't have the proper drivers. Maybe go to the radeon site and get the latest drivers? Uninstalled all your previous drivers.. disabled the onboard video card?
