Hi, I am the admin of my Windows XP Home edition at home and wondered if there was a way that when users logged in, the computer would automatically display a message just once for everytime i make certain changes to the computer e.g. if i think there might be a problem with a program or a new program i have installed or that i will need the computer at a certain time etc it will tell the users this message when they login and when they click ok it wont display the message again unless i change the message?
Thanks
Mark

Since your PC is a standalone XP Home Edition, the custom message can only appear for everyone just before the Welcome screen. THIS tells you how to create your own logon message. There is one inherent pitfall anyway. You will have to manually remove the message through the registry.
