i try to play battle for middle earth 2 but it quits about half an hour in it. it says i have 0 display memory how can i get more

First of all, if you had no display memory, you wouldn't see anything on the screen. I'm assuming it means that it ran out of display memory during the game. I have never heard of that before, so i'm not sure.
Are you using a video card (plugs in a PCI, AGP, or PCI-E slot) or integrated video, built into the motherboard?
If your using a video card, the only way to "get more memory" would be to buy a new video card with more memory. Middle Earth II requires at least 64 MB of video memory.
If you are using integrated video, most motherboards will let you set the amount of memory to use for the video chipset. (a portion of main memory is used for video) Enter into the BIOS setup screen, and set the shared memory size higher. (Note that the more memory you allocate for the video chipset, less memory will be available for the system itself. For example, if you have 1 GB of RAM, and you allocate 128 MB for the video, that will leave you with 896 MB for the system. (1024 MB-128 MB=896 MB))
Hope this helps,
