hello
i took my computer apart and tried to switch cases and the new cases was to small and put it back together in the old cases and now it locks up and keeps saying found new hard ware of every thing in my computer and when it reboots it tells me diskette drive 0 seek failure and takes 5-6 min got any answers?

i know a lil about computers

It uses the term "diskette" or just disc ?

Drive 0 usually refers to the harddrive.

It could be that when you plugged in the EIDE cables you plugged the one connected to the harddrive into the wrong connector..Both 40 pin connectors are alike but should be labled as '0' and '1'...the harddrive should be connected to the one labled '0'.

When your computer boots the BIOS is configured to read drives connected to connector '0' first and then move on...if you have the cables backward the BIOS will try to read your CD?DVD and might cause the error that you are getting!

This would also explain as to why the found new hardware issue is coming up as well....
