Comment:

I created a shortcut for defrag on the desktop and made sure it was still in the start menu but after I deleted the shortcut I can't find defrag anywhere in the start menu. How do I get it back? Can I run it from the "run..." prompt? Thanks

Start-programs-accessories-system tools.

Please post back within 24 hours or I will delete the post from my follow up list. Thanks. It would be a courtesy if you would post back and let us know if the fix worked or not.

Type in Dfrg.msc from the Run dialog box or the Command Prompt.

Disk Defragmentor is found in the System Tools area: Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Defragmentor.

Or,

Start, Search, For Files or Folders, All Files and Folders, type Disk Defrag, and then Search, this should show you Disk Defragmentor. If you right-click onto Disk Defragmentor, you can send it anywhere you want.

Snipes told you a good way to get there though.
