Your quote is wrong. There is not one web page found with that statement.

Are you running it in admin account or using runas under an admin user account?

Try this.

Start, Run and type:

mmc.exe %Systemroot%\system32\dfrg.msc

What happens?

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

Tap the F8 key constantly at boot up. This will take you into a start menu. Choose Safe Mode and try it there.

Although it's a good idea to ensure Microsoft applications like this do work, I suggest using a program called Defraggler instead of Microsoft's Disk Defragmenter on Windows XP. It will literally be hours quicker to complete and does an awesome job. In addition, you can set to defrag specific files/folders instead of the whole drive if you want.

Apologies if I don't respond to your reply immediately. I don't check this site daily, but you're welcome to PM me as a reminder.
