Disk Cleanup

Why is it that when I check compress old files in disk cleanup it no longer empties it.I just cleaned it out a few days ago and noticed it had some files so I checked it and the 1667 KB is still showing up it never emptied it? Thanks in advance

Compressing files is not deleting files. Just making them smaller. It can only do that one time to each file. All the old files have already been compressed.
Why are you doing this anyway, are you out of disk space?

sounds like he uses it to clean out temporary internet files and other files.

What I am saying is that before if any amount showed up in compressed files like ex right now it shows 1,667 kb before I use to be able to check the box and that would vanish.Cobra she was 1/2 right.
