Is THIS the thread posted by barocca that you speak of?

Is your wireless mouse a recent replacement for wired mouse?

I've had the mouse since 9/2007. Why would my wireless mouse cause this?

So when did this problem arise and did you make any hardware or software change(s) just before that?

Personally doubt that the wireless mouse is causing the problem but would like you to try a PS.2 mouse to eliminate the possibility

Since my PC is a laptop, can I just the touchpad instead digging my PS/2 wired mouse?

You can do whatever you want as long as you unplug the wireless system.
