disconect modem on incoming call

How can i make my modem disconnect on an incoming call? I live in Australia and use a telstra connection and have a standard v90 modem. I know about v92 but i dont have the cash.

As far as I know v.92 is the only way to be disconnected. You might want to check out www.callwave.com it's an online answering machine. You'll receive your calls while online you'll just have to call the caller back after you get off line.

You might check with your phone company, some of them have software that can help you out. My phone company has a service that notifies me of all incoming calls and gives me the opportunity to either answer the call or forward it to my voice mail. It's usually a pretty cheap service, added to your phone bill. Of course that's in the States, I have no idea if you guys have it.
