Ok, this is a followup to my other topic. So this has been happening for a while. I got this error using Winrar and it had to cancel the operation while it was extracting, so i went and opened my computer and found that the file size of that file i was extracting has reduced my disc space, even though it was cancelled. So i was like what the hell? And resetted and turned off my computer and no thing has been happening. I also opened my D: Partiion and highlighted all the files and clicked properties and it highlighted every file in there and it totalled to 67 GBS of my 74.5 GB. And there was only like 1.65 GB left. And i'm like missing 7 GBS! So what the hell? Can anyone help me with this problem?
I've tried emptying the recycle bin and norton's protected files, and chkdsk but nothing seems to work, and i don't want to format. Thanks

I assume that you did chkdsk /F? Otherwise it will not actually fix errors. Also trust that you took note of the "size on disk" rather than the actual file sizes since that is always greater due to unused space in clusters? Are you including hidden files? Do you maybe have a windows paging file on that drive?
