I have a strange problem that keeps on occuring. When In XP I cannot minimize outlook because it is not responding and my taskbar and startbutton disappear. I can see the outline, there just not there. I also want to delete my cmd.exe that keeps on popping up beside my start button on startup, I believe this is the problem. I tried msconfig to prevent it from starting on startup but it was not listed under the startup tab:It is cmd.exe isn't it. To telly ou the truth this is my bosses computer and she wants it off and to be able to minimize MS Outlook and other programs again. Oh by the way. I did quickly manage to right-click on the minimized command line upon startup and close it. Upon doing this I was able to minimize it. So after all that I gues I should really say: How do I prevent the command line from starting upon startup? Sorry for the lecture!!!!

Do this .. get your XP Disc handy, insert it into the CD rom, when the install window pops up, close it, now go to "start" then "run" and type "SFC /SCANNOW" (without "") .. this will run Windows System File checker and fix errors and corrupted files, it wont ask you to reboot, but do so.
