I am having problems with my network icon in the notification area. I have the box checked in my network connection tab and I do not have icon hiding turned on in the taskbar properties. After either restarting the system or logoff and logon again the network icon shows up but when I hover over with my mouse pointer it disappears. The only way I can get it back is to eiter disable the connection then re-enable it again or unchecking the box in the connection properties and applying then checking it again and applying again. After doing either of these it stays in the tray. I don't think I should have to do this to have it stay in the tray.

possibly the built-in hidden task bar system tray icons feature? right click on task bar and choose properties browse around in taskbar/start menu programs and look at the auto-hide options for the taskbar system tray!
