Since installing SP-2 I am having problems with my cursor disappearing while I am typing a post on a bulletin board or creating an e-mail with Outlook Express. Instead of staying in place as a flashing cursor suddenly my typing stops creating words. I can get the cursor back into place and functioning with a mouse and a click. Do any of you folks have a solution for this annoying problem? I'm pretty sure, but not 100% positive, that it is related to SP-2. Many thanks!

Open the mouse control panel and click the "Pointer Options" tab. Uncheck "Hide pointer while typing" Hope this helps, Sandman

Sandman, many thanks! That seems to have solved it. I never would have thought to go there. I'm still scratching my head (painful, as there is so little hair to buffer ) wondering why anybody would think of offering a "hide pointer while typing" option--since hiding the pointer disables the typing.
