Disabling Java Script Error Messages

How can I either disable Java Script Error Messages from popping up, or have them automatically dismissed before they appear. I have not been able to do this successfully by disabling "Disable Script Debugging", because for some reason it automatically re-enables and I do not want to completely disable "Active Scripting". Is there just some way to get rid of the error messages? Using WinXP (1) and IE6
