I am not sure exactly what my ram and stuff is but I thought I should share my latest crisis with other computer users. Everytime I would go to a website content advisor would come up. There was some long drawn-out way of taking it off the computer which I couldn't figure out. However to just keep it from popping up and annoying the hell out of you -like it did to me. Just simply go to tools- internet options- content tab and click on the disable button for content advisor. THis seems like a duh kind of thing but I had a computer whiz come over (2) and both didn't know what the hell it was. So I hope this helps someone out there

So, is there a problem? Did disabling the Content Advisor fail in some way?
Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Jennifer, I think he was just stating the fix for a problem he solved himself, incase someone else ever has this issue.
I have NOT lost my mind — I have it backed up on tape somewhere

people often knock qualifications, because experience is far more important, but qualifications certainly do have SOME merit - in this case those techs would have never passed the A+ exam if they can't even find content advisor in IE.
Here's another good one: I know a company which was advised by their tech to buy a new server as the current one wasn't working properly. Actually, he had just pointed the DNS clients at the ISP's DNS, not the server's.
RE: content advisor. it's an example of a good idea which never took off. since 99% of websites don't use it, it blocks them too. I really liked the idea of content advisor because it allowed custom settings. So for example, if you're a northern european you can accept full nudity but no violence, and if you're a bible-belt american you can accept the exact opposite!
