You will need to boot into the BIOS to do that. Watch the POST screens at startup to see what keystroke gets you into the BIOS.

It's not really necessary to disable the on-board sound. You can have multiple sound adapters installed. Just go to the Control Panel > Sounds and audio devices > Audio tab to select the one that you want to use.
