HI, I have 2 harddisk, the primary one was NTFS which run Win XP, the 2nd hd was running Win 98. When everytime I run Win Xp, the scandisk will auto start, is there any way for me to stop it from running scandisk? thks.
Another question was, I need to have a dual boot.
Primary hd : NTFS Win xp
Secondly hd : Master CD-Rom
Slave Fat 32 Win 98

Can I know how to put in Win 98 as a second boot up menu in Win XP boot.ini ? Thks again.

I don't have my laptop with XP Pro up and running at present, but I know that with win98 and ME you can stop the auto running of scandisk by changing or adding the following to MSDOS.SYS file:

[OPTIONS]

AUTOSCAN = 0

MSDOS.SYS is a read-only file located in the root directory (at least ME and 98).

I use System Commander to handle my multi-boot requirements, as well as some other neat stuff.

Good luck.
