I just went thru getting my PC to go directly to WindowsXP without the logon screen ,
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click User Accounts.
Click Change the way users log on or off.
Chose the Welcome screen check box
Iam running WindowsXP Pro SP3 MCE2005 , let us know if this works for you ,if installed you may have to uninstall Client Services for Netware ! Windows should give you a prompt that in order to use this option you must uninstall Client Services for Netware in you LAN Properties
Good Luck ,Nick

Is this the password that you assigned that asked for password before the os will boot? If yes you have to get into the bios to remove it. Once a password is nolonger assigned, os should load without prompting for a password.
