Dom,
1- Delete the Messenger Folder and any shortcut.
2- Go to add/remove in the control panel
3- Choose add/remove component - a list of components will come out
4- Choose MSN, and click next. (it will tell you that, if you choose to remove msn, you will not be able to use messanger. But what the heck, click next)
I hope that help. At least, messager never comes bothering my WinXP anymore. Khanh

More like, i know there is some tool or something that does this, as I have had it before, but for the life of me I cannot find it :p I would just get rid of it, but i have a few friends who use it only, guess I could remove it and get trillian, but does any1 know about the tool I'm talking about??? Open Oe6 and goto tools>options and uncheck Automatically log on to windows messenger. This will keep it from launching and still have it installed.
