Disable CHKDSK at Startup!!!

I have read through various posts on this forum in regards to stopping CHKDSK from running on startup and have recieved no information of any value. Some People say go into msconfig and uncheck it. Well now people CHKDSK doesn't show up in there. I stumbled upon this solution after nearly giving up on this problem. Here is the solution I have found! Take these words and spread them to the farthest reaches of the earth, because I am certain microsoft will not.
Open the command prompt window found under accessories in the start menu.
then you need to type this where "n" is the drive letter you wish to eliminate from the check. Examples: C:, D:, E: <---must have the colon.
type in "chkntfs n /x"
then go ahead and reboot.
Your problem should be solved. It worked for me and I hope to hell it works for everyone else. Goodluck!

Another solution, open your C:MSDOS.SYS file in Notepad. Scroll to the bottom of the screen until you see the command line AutoScan=1. Change it to AutoScan=0. If the line isn't there, add it at the bottom.
Summary: After scheduling a disk scan and rebooting, XP starts trying to scan the disk (which it's been able to do before), but now it won't start because it can't "lock the file system" or some crap like that...
