Helo guyz and gals!! I have this problem installing DIRECTX 9.0c in windows XP SP2 Pro Pre-release beta version. I upgraded from Windows XP SP1 Pro to SP2 Pro. But the problem is, i already installed directx 9.0c before in SP1 but when i upgrade it to SP2, it has directx 9.0b by default and i cannot update it to directx 9.0c. I downloaded a newer version of directx 9.0c october2005 edition but have still the same outcome. Can anyone help me or jst give me some link where i can download some directx 9.0c for updates? I am rily messed up ryt now coz i cannot play "The Battle for Middle-Earth" and "The Sims 2", coz it alerts me to install direct 3d, but when i open the dxdiag, i found out that the "qasf.dll" file has an exclamation alert that it is and old file. what if i have no internet connection? what i did was to order a sp2 for winxp pro. but when i install it it says that it cant be installed over a winxp that has sp2 already. if im going to download the link above, will it overwrite my current sp2 or will it does the same above? you see, my winxp pro with built in sp2 doesnt come up with directx uninstall, all other styles for uninstalling this was meant for an original winxp then installed with sp2. but since my copy has already integrated the changes of sp2, i cant uninstall sp2. please reply
