I have tried installing Disney Winnie the pooh infants, and it keeps coming up with Director player 6.0 This programme needs at least 3MB of free virtual memory to run. I have been into the system and changed minimum and max as you have stated before and done all the other things as stated before, but still get the same message. Anymore advice ????

I have run into this problem when there is a page file on a drive other than or as well as the C drive.

We have had the same issue and we did the following and it fixed it.
Hope it helps

SOME PROGRAMS GENERATE A DIRECTOR 6 MEMORY ERROR AND THIS CAN BE FIXED
BY CHANGING THE VIRTUAL MEMORY SETTING.

GO TO CONTROL PANEL,SYSTEM,ADVANCED,PERFORMANCE,SETTINGS,ADVANCED

VIRTUAL MEMORY, CHANGE AND PUT IN A LOWER NUMBER CUSTOM SIZE

LIKE 300, 768 THEN SELECT SET AND RESTART THE COMPUTER.

TRY THE PROGRAM AGAIN.

Thanks for that info, I have tried it and still no joy. I have noticed though that at the bottom it says

TOTAL PAGING SIZE FOR ALL FILES
MINIMUM 2MB
RECOMMENDED 1534MB
CURRENTLY ALLOCATED 1535MB

Does this have anything to do with it? I have tried loads of stuff now and still no further on !!!!!

and when you did my suggestions did you click on set? that should change the setting. if you try the 300 768 in custom settings and click on set.. it should save. at least it worked for me... other programs my slow down but I haven't noticed any problems.

I have had the same problem and it has been fixed by
setting the initial size to 128 as suggested here:

Good luck!
