Hi, i recently installed the new simpsons - hit and run game. it installed fine but i am getting and error and can't play the game. When i try to start the game i get an error dialogue box that says :

Are you running DirectX 9a, or 9b? Update to "b" if you're running the "a" version. Available at Microsoft's website.

i have directX 9b now, but still get the same problem...anyone else have any ideas?

If nothing else works, uninstall the program. Before you reinstall it, make sure there are no folders or files left in the directory tree. Delete everything that refers to the game. Also, check the registry to make certain no keys were left behind. Almost without fail, an uninstall leaves useless keys behind. Backup your registry first.
