The only reason this is in the Xp forum is that is where my image file is located at the moment.
Anyway I have a .dim image of IBMDOS 1.10 and do not have any 160K ss,sd 5¼ floppy disks which the image program needs to write the image too. I do have the abilaty to create a virtual floppy disk with Winimage and mount a virtual disk to it but it refuses to write the image. So I was wondering if anyone has a floppy disk image converter so I can make it into a .ima or .vfd (prefered), my lcuk with google brought up nothing :P. Regards Lupin3rd

That's weird. You have a file in the XP forum?
That version of DOS predates (and therefore does not support) 3½" diskettes

:P Yeah I some how stored it on the server :P. I meant to say that it's on my home comp and that it's running XP(there's one thing that got though the proof reading). I know it predates 3½ disks, so thats why I need to convert the image.
I do have some other software that will make an actual virtual floppy drive with floppy disk drive icon in My Comp, might try and use that. Winimage makes a virtual floppy drivfe but has a HD icon instead. That's probably the main reason it didn't work when I tried to write it to my virtual B drive before.

... I'd gathered that
Even if you somehow get it onto a diskette, it still won't boot - beyond that, can't really say, but nothing beats having the correct hardware for the job

Well thanks jboy, it was your second post that gave me the idea to use my other software and since it's Friday am going to dig it out and try it later. Thanks for your help regards Lupin3rd
