Digital camera won't load on XP

Bought a new panasonic digital camera (DMC-F7)and it won't load on my computer. It tells me that it can't find the digital camera, we have done everything the instructions have told us to, but it says we already have a program that will up load the pictures.

Delete its drivers and install them again. It's USB, so just plug it and it will ask for the drivers (use XP drivers, or if not available use 2000 drivers).
