Comment:

I just run a full system recovery from the recovery partition on my VAIO . Anyway the recovery restores Windows Media center Ed 2002 instead of 2005 . The sticker on the VAIO bottom displays clearly XP Media Center 2005 but when i go into sytem properties it says XP Media Center 2002 SP2

System Properties tells you what operating system that you are using,

To determine which

version of Media Center Edition, you need to look in the MCE program itself:

- Launch Media Center.

- On the Settings menu, click General.

- Scroll down, and you'll find About Media Center.

That's where the MCE version is listed, as opposed to the Windows XP version.
