Dialup prolems... manual dial :|

Ok just this morning i went to connect to internet and instead of dialing itself a window appears (Operator Assisted or Manual Dial) asking me to phone the number click ok and then hang up the phone... i am the only user of this machine and i havent touched any of the settings...
this is becoming increasingly frustrating as my host likes to boot me a lot...

Right there is your fix "Ok just this morning".
Run system restore first b4 you do anything.

to late... tryed last known good system configuration... and i dont make restore points... i have made an image of my hard drive so if it comes to the worst ile just restore from the image

Plz someone... i have exams right now and its getting frustrating dialing manually everytime i need to connect... somtiems i get booted as often as every half hour...

Well disable operator-assisted calls or manual dialing if it is enabled..
To do that... Open Network Connections in the control panel.
On the menu tabs,click Advanced If Operator-Assisted Dialing is checked,uncheck it and see if that works
