Comment: Is there anyway I can keep my dial-up connection for disconnecting. I have it on "do not disconnect while idle" option checked off, but it disconnects after every 9 hours or so. Please help.

Reply: (edit)Your ISP may boot you after long periods of inactivity, when I had dial-up I used a prog called "fakesurf".All it does is open a page or click a link at intervals. troy

Reply: (edit)Like the above stated you can only remain connected for so long before the server resets the connection and it varies with ISP's. There is also a program called Connection Keeper that queries your ISP @ intervals. Don't know where ur located or your ISP but broadband prices are becoming more affordable especially DSL.
