Comment: My broadband dial-up connection regularly disconnects itself, and on trying to reconnect, I get as far as 'verifying username and password' before it gives up, with error 619. All I can do after that is press the reset button: normal shutdown hangs. Zyxel Prestige 630-C1 USB modem, with latest driver. Any ideas?

Reply: (edit)search for "619" on this page: http://help.expedient.com/dialup/ halfway down you will see a list of errors that occur with dial-up connections, 619 & 629 are coupled together, but there is some good info on the next click that maybe of interest to you. Also you may want to try testing/troubleshooting your modem after you have been disconnected to see if the problem is with your hardware or phone lines (line noise), or resides on your ISP's side. You could create a bogus/real dial-up number (have it call your cell phone) just to see if the modem can dial out again after having lost the connection or if it returns an error "user busy" or "no dial tone" or something else. Let me know how it goes. Michael
