I frequently return to computer and find that it has dialeed up my ISP and left me connected for several hours. I cannot find what program is doing this. As far as I can see computer is set to drop the line if idle for 10 mins, not to redial etc. But something keeps dialling out. This did not happne before I moved from ME to XP.

Hi Dan, I have the same trouble, but strangely enough, I have a cable modem. I keep disabling the "setup" dial up connection that's listed, but it keeps returning, so every time I connect on my cable network, XP wants to dial and can't. I have to tell it to connect, then cancel after it says it can't. I'm going to look into it further. I only installed XP today. Good luck and drop back if you find a fix.
