Dial Up Connection

When my dialup connection comes up it has the wrong password on there, how can i correct this?

try clicking start-connect to-show all connections-double click your connection- click in the password box-to change password- enter new password.

try clicking on connect anyway. you may find that the actual password is being masked by extra **** .its a security feature to hide the actual number of numbers, letters.

Are you saying wrong, becasue you are counting the asteriks of your password? If so, Win adds a few asteriks as an extra security feature. Go to SHOW ALL CONNECTIONS in NETWORKING and click your connection icon and find the password field and change.

delete and recreate the connection with the correct password,or search for and delete the *.pwl file for it.
