how do I set me desk top icons to be viewed like a web page so that there are no icons on my desk top I want them to be on my task bar with a pop up menu so the word "desktop" is on my task bar with a little arrow beside it an when you click on the arrow a menu pops up with all your icons in it how do I do this????

right click your taskbar, new toolbar, desktop....you will see a new tab on your taskbar called Desktop. And I'm sure that there's a way to hide all iconson desktop... I'm away from my comp right now, when I get back home I'll find out how to do it

Do what Voodoo says, and than right click desktop and rest your mouse on arrange icons by and you will see the command to hide desktop icons.
