Desktop will not start. Please help

I recently performed a system restore, but when the computer booted up from this, the desktop would not appear. My background picture is displayed, but no taskbar or desktop items load up. I do not have a boot/startup disk. Please can someone help me, I am desperate!!!

Go to the system restore and try another restore point or undo the one you just did. http://computervitals.com/

you can also do this it allways worked for me. press ctrl-alt-delete then click on new task type explorer or explorer.exe PLEASE WRITE BACK IF MY ADVICE WAS HELPFUL mess with the best, suffer like the rest.
