Comment:
I occasionally get a balloon msg that says I have a number of desktop icons that have not been used in a while and offers to remove them. I know MS is trying to be helpful (haha) but I have the desktop just the way I want it. How do I prevent that unwelcome balloon from popping up?

William, Right click your Desktop >choose Properties, choose the Desktop tab, click the Customize desktop button, and uncheck Run desktop cleanup wizard.

Once you do as Tufenuf suggested, you will no longer see the Desktop Cleanup Wizard popping up every 60 days.
