Does anyone know how to permanently delete the 'my network places' and 'internet explorer' shortcuts from the 'desktop toolbar'?

The desktop toolbar is displayed when you right click on the taskbar, and activate the 'desktop toolbar'.

When I delete internet explorer and my network places from it, they get re-made after a few mins. Anyone know of a way to stop this?

Thanks for any and all advice :)

Sure...download & install tweakUI from Microsoft. It will put an entry in the Start/Programs menu called "Powertoys for Windows XP". Click on TweakUI...what you're looking to do is listed under "Desktop".

I've already set the desktop to only display the things I want, but on the desktop toolbar on the taskbar, the icons automitcally re-make themselves.

Thanks for trying to help anyway :)
