I have no picture on my desktop. all I can do is change the colour of it. When it boots up, I can see my picture but then a plain screen pops up and that is it. I still have my icons but no picture. If I right click and go to prperties, then go to desktop, my background looks like it is disabled. the only thing i can do there is change colour. It is more of an annoyance than anything but please help.

Did this work at one point and then it stopped? What user type are you? Admin, Power User? Are you on a Domain?

What happens if you login with another account?

Some require the download of a VBS file.
So, read at the top of that page--
"How to use a VBS file"

Try line 142 at the right hand side.

I might be wrong but some adware/spyware disables the option to change your wallpaper on Display Properties.

If this program does not do the job try others like ...

SUPERAntiSpyware
http://downloads2.superantispyware....

spywareterminator
http://dnl.spywareterminator.com/Dn...

IS BEST TO DO THE CLEANING IN SAFE MODE
