I changed my desktop through the right-click of the desktop, about 10 min later I heard a little "beep" an flicker of the desktop and it goes back to the XP green hill (default). Even if I change it and reboot it, upon startup it's back to the green hill. (I hate the hill)

KTTD, is there something significant about your question? I've got a Dell 4600 and it lets me put on anything I want as background. I always buy Dell's, so I'm interested in hearing about any of their ideosyncracies.

Only reason I asked is because I have a client how has a Dell and he has some problems I have yet to resolve. I'm not going to bring it up because it is to weird to even start to explain. It was the beep sound you said it makes that drew my attention.
