Desktop Icons Have problem!

Okay the deal is I rebooted my computer once and then from there my icons began to group themselves in categories like unspecified on my desktop without me changing anything. And the Show in groups option in arrange icons has been disabled i cannot access it. Can anyone help me fix this?

Alex, Right click your desktop>arrange icons by and uncheck Auto Arrange then set them as you want them.

I cannot select auto arrange either. The Icons are locked and teh align to gird, auto arrange, and show in groups are all disabled.

Try TweakUI (download it from: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx).
In TweakUI: Repair >> Rebuild Icons

kjata090, Right click your Desktop, choose Properties, under the Desktop tab click the Customize Desktop button, under the Web tab there should be no checkmarks showing aside of Web pages or Lock desktop items.

kjata090, Also right click your desktop>arrange icons by then checkmark "lock web items on desktop", then go back and uncheck "lock web items on desktop" and it should unlock the icons.
