Two things: 1) The computer is a new notebbook. I do not have that desktop icon on the taskbar that is common on most computers. How do I get it there, please.
2) I have a desktop with Win 2000. On it, I have a "My Computer" window (not icon) on the desktop. This website used to have in the "How To" page a way to create this. I really liked that but don't remember how it was done. I can no longer find this in the How To. Anyone know how to do this?

Right click start button select properties and under the 'Taskbar' tab ensure that 'Quick Launch' is checked. This with give you the desktop icon that you want.
