Hi,

I have four hard drive (SATA) in my pc at home.

C:/ - for windows and updates
G:/ - For games and Films
H:/ - For software installed on pc
M:/ - for all my work

I am the administrator on this pc, i would like to create another account for a Limited User, and i would like to deny them access to the M:/.

I was wondering, if i was to:

1) Create the limited account
2) log in as admin, then right click on M:/ and select properties and go into security, can i set it permissions to denny access to this user but adding/removing from a list?

im not sure what to do when i get to this window.

can someone help please?

Thanks,

When you do that you'll have a list of every user and group that has access to that partition. Just remove everyone except your user account (Administrator) and you should be good.

To be on the safe side, you could always ADD the other user and give them "Deny" permissions for everything.

Be sure not to deny admin.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
