Comment:

I just got a new Dell 2001FP 20.1 LCD monitor, and when i pluggd it in i noticed my computer would get major lagg spikes. I did the control alt delete and checked process and and my cpu is spiking up to 99% periodically every ,minute exactly. Ive run AVG, search and destroy, and have Wintasks 5. Its really wierd because ive never had problems, I shut off our network and the internet and the spikes go away. but I switched to my little monitor and now the spikes are gone even with the internet on. I switched back a forth just to check. And its always the same, with big monitor I get lagg spikes with internet on and with little monitor it doesn't matter if the internets on or not. Any help would be majorly appreciated.
THANKS

Wow, thats an odd one. Have you tried new drivers for the troublesome monitor? LCds tend to need exact drivers a lot more thn CRT ones. It's as good a place as any to start. good luck.

Sounds like you're straining your video card. Do you have onboard video or a card? How many megs is the card or board video? Are you runnig a digital connection or an anaolog?
