Solved Dell laptop WiFi stops working every so often

Hello, i have a Dell precision m90 laptop and the wifi stops working periodically (maybe once every 24 hrs or so). I must then go to the control panel and disable then re-enable the wifi for it to work again. I have tried installing a newer driver but that did not solve the problem.

I would appreciate any input. Thanks.

It "may" be a power saving function? Seem to recall a similar post recently - same symptoms/problem and it was in power save settings.

Mmm... very long shots.

Remove all power - battery inlcuded. Locate end remove the wifi module (carefully) if possible. Clean its contacts with something like a soft pencil eraser. Re-insert module securely, then remove and re-insert again. Then power up and see it helps.

Another - even longer shot... Remove all power (battery too). Press and hold the on/off button/switch on the laptop for about seconds. Release button, restore battery etc., power up and see if that helps.

Also is this laptop on battery or mains power whenit lose connection?
