The letter"i" in one of the laptops is not engaging. How to rectify?
Thanks,

Have you tried connecting another keyboard? Is the laptop still under warranty? If so, you might be able to get a replacement keyboard if that's the problem. Life's more painless for the brainless.
No Sir. It is not under warranty. Is there anyway I can get the key board download?
Thanks for the help.

I'm not a sir. I don't know what you mean by the "keyboard download." Did you try another keyboard? A USB Keyboard perhaps? Life's more painless for the brainless.
It's probably a mechanical problem with the keyboard. The chances of it being a software problem is as close to nil as you can get. I'm afraid that you might have to take it to a shop for fixing, unless you are 'really' handy.

Thanks. I shall do so. Any idea how much I will have to spend?

Sorry, I have no idea Ganesan. If you give them a call and explain the problem, they can probably give you a ballpark range. If you spilled something on the keyboard, it might be just a simple cleanup.
To use an onscreen keyboard, go to start-programs -accessories-accessibility and click the On Screen Keyboard icon. Alternatively, you can open c:\WINDOWS\system32 folder in Windows explorer and double click osk.exe.
Good Luck
