Hi, I have two 256mb of memory in my computer and I was thinking of getting two 1g chips of memory. Would this speed up my computer as far as saving documents, spreadsheets and browsing the internet? Thanks.

Most likely. Be sure to use the dell site or other memory configuration application to see what you can install.

Your system can take DDR333 or DDR400 memory. For the best performance the DDR400 purchased in a 2GB (2 - 1GB modules) kit should be selected.

Anticipate costs at least $85 and up since memory has been increasing in price over the last 2 months.
