Does anyone have any ideas and sugguestion on how to fix a dell computer that is stuck on 640 by 480 pixels and a color quality of ( 16-bit ).I think i need to correct it to 800 by 600 pixels but so far i been unable to correct the problem.[ This happen after i try to do a re-install of my windows xp operating system that has microsoft service pack 2.] Could it be that i need to re-install some drivers on my system that may have got removed and deleted during the re-install of the windows xp.Does anyone have any ideas or sugguestions. You need to install the video drivers. If you still have the Dell cd you can get them from there, or if you know what video card you have you can get them from the manufacturer's website.

If you have not added a video card the drivers can be found at this site. Read the page and use its references to get your drivers from Intel.

Go to Dell's support and enter your Service Tag number (located on a sticker on the back of the tower.) You will then be able to download the appropriate video drivers for your system.
