Specs: Windows XP
Dell Inspiron 2500

Can some one help me here. I am try to get a Dell Inspiron 2500 laptop to work again. I am pretty good with desktops but have never done any work with laptops.

The problem that I have is that it boots up just to the post screen and then freezes

I cant hear no beeps
The only keys that work are one that changes the font size of the "DEL IMAGE " on the screen.

I have tried swapping memory from another laptop and also a hard drive

Nothing happens when a floopy is inserted
Nothing happens when a bootable CD is inserted.

Any IDEAS ANYONE

Go into BIOS to see if harddrive and RAM are recognized.

See if the harddrive activity indicator light is blinking at startup.
Should blink when getting data.
