Hi im trying to get Win xp pro on my 1520 laptop. But i get HDD not found error while it's checking my system. I have seen some other forums on this but not sure what to do.
I burnt the SATA drivers on a CD and press F6 and insert the CD when it asks for the Sata drivers. But when i hit "enter" it does nothing.
It also refers to the cd/dvd drive as "A" When asking for the drivers or XP CD to continue without the drivers.
Please help!

I think it's expecting the drivers to be on a floppy drive. If you don't have a floppy drive, you might have to slipstream the drivers on to your install CD.
Checkout the following:

"It also refers to the cd/dvd drive as "A" ..."
Setup, at that point, cannot recognize anything but the proper drivers on a floppy disk in a floppy drive - it cannot find drivers on a CD or a flash drive or a hard drive or on all except a few very old USB connected floppy drive models that were available when XP was first released.
Also see response 5 in this - if you can set your bios to IDE compatible mode, you won't need load the drivers during Setup, Setup will see the drive no problem, and you can optionally load SATA or RAID drivers later:
