Go to Dell's support site. Enter the Service Tag number, and you'll be able to download all of the proper drivers.

Considering the fact that it was bought used, and has some problems, I would think the best thing for you to do would be to do a complete restore to bring the laptop back to as new.
To do this, all you have to do is turn the computer off, then turn it on, as it is starting, you will see the blue band across the top of the screen, as soon as you see it, hit the Ctrl key and the F11 together. The computer will then begin to restore and all you have to do is follow the prompts and, in a short time, it will be like brand new and, all your drivers should be installed and everything ready to go.
When you are starting, as soon as you hit the start button, put a finger on the Ctrl key and a finger on the F11 key, Immediately when the blue band comes across the top of the screen, you need to press the 2 keys together, if you are too slow, the computer will simply continue to start up. If this happens, just let it start and then shut down and try again.
Good Luck

Many thanks Stunkah,

I have Down Loaded main 28 Drivers from Dell to Disk on another PC and hopefully can load after your recommendation of a Complete restore.
Does that sound sensible

You said you already installed the OS. Why do it a second time?

You are quite right, Jennifer.
I guess I need to brush up on my reading skills.
Anyway, I assumed that, being used and being a fairly new Dell, he would have a complete restore function and, it would be good to start fresh (again, I need to brush up on reading skills) anyway, the restore SHOULD replace all drivers.

Jeni & Stunkah,

I have progrssed with loading derivers indidually from Download CD and every thing looking good now with each driver loading.
A bit marticulous though.
I guess if I buy a prepared Driver CD from Dell Web, it would allow a continuous load of all drivers in 1 go ?

Many thanks again to you both

les " run executable " simply means to run or " execute " a program file. You can determine which is a program file by looking for the EXE extension. Double click that file to run it.
