Hey
I just recently got a new motherboard installed and everything seemed fine, until I start XP and i always get a prompt saying that I'm missing the file 'C:\Windows\System32\Tools\Delfolders.exe'. I saw this problem posted before but the solution the guy did didn't work for me. Can someone please help me?Thx, DMAN

This file is likely a left over from a program or a virus that your
anti-virus program did not completely remove. Click
Start/Run, type: regedit and press OK. Go to the following Registry
keys:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunIn each one of these keys, look in the right pane for a value that
references that delfolders.exe or the full path and file name in the error
message. Right click it and select Delete on that value.
google search for more

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
Execute=C:\WINDOWS\System32\Tools\DelFolders.exe
spyware info support
looks like it's something leftover from installing system board drivers.

hey, i tried deleting the Execute command from the 'HKEY\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce' directory, but it always reappeared after i restarted the computer. So then I deleted the 'RunOnce' folder, and now every time I start the computer, instead of the other message, i get 'Reboot -- Failed to set data for Execute'. What do I do now?

I have the same problem with delfolders!
When I got to the msconfig program, I was not sure what you did to "disable" messenger.
Can you step me through it as that error is driving my wife nuts!
Thanks
