Hi everyone!
I am having problems deleting contacts from my contact list in hotmail. I log in msn messenger and then I go to my contacts in hotmail. When I tick in a contact that I want to delete and then press "delete", an MSN Hotmail Web Page Dialog window comes up saying "Deleting an MSN Messenger contact will remove the contact from Messenger too. Are you sure you want to delete this contact?" I click on "OK". It doesn't delete the contact and a yellow line appears in my hotmail on the top of the page saying "An error has occured. Click here to resolve the issue". I click on the "here" and then the same MSN Hotmail Web Page Dialog window comes up as before saying "Deleting an MSN Messenger contact will remove the contact from Messenger too. Are you sure you want to delete this contact?" This goes on...I tried to go to hotmail without signing in to msn messenger, but the same problem occurs. What do I do? Can anyone please help me out? Why can't I delete any of my contacts from my contact list in hotmail?

Jennifer, how many times are you going to ask this question? I hope you realize you run the risk of deletion of all posts you've made with this issue.
Soylent Green is PEOPLE!!!

i dont use hotmail so i'm not entirely sure what is going on. it could be a computer problem (activex/java) or it could be a hotmail problem. I would search google or call micro$oft.
Also, reset all your internet explorer favorites and just because it wont hurt.... click start, run and type sfc /scannow and keep your xp cd on hand in case you need it.

i'm sorry, i didnt mean reset you internet explorer favorites....I meant reset your internet explorer back to all defaults....
stupid me...
:)

Have you tried any of the suggestions that you have told over the last few days? If none of these worked (especially uninstalling and then re-installing)then you should go to the MSN website and click on support or help!

Yes, I have tried all the suggestions I got but none have worked. I even emailed hotmail support but they just babble on about something else.

jennifer, do you have access to another machine? if so log in to hotmail and delete a contact from the 2nd machine and see if it still does the same thing or if it actually deletes it. if it does delete it then you know for sure its your computer....but if it does the same thing then all you can do is work with hotmail support.
